About East Coast Industries, Inc.

East Coast Industries, Inc. is a small, privately owned company serving the New York City metropolitan area, as well as many out of state clients. Established in 1981, we have steadily grown to become a major source of information relied upon by many in the building management industry for the successful and reliable day to day operation of their commercial and industrial properties.

ECI offers a variety of nondestructive testing services developed primarily for the HVAC building operations industry. We also offer a variety of specialty products, services, and technical advice derived from our many years of experience in this field, and our involvement with hundreds of building properties.

Business Philosophy

Our basic business attitude or philosophy has always been to provide the highest overall level of service possible. We continually strive to refine and improve both the quality of our actual field testing work, as well as the presentation of our test results. By offering our services at reasonable cost, we have helped bring the preventative and predictive benefits of nondestructive testing to many building owners and operators who have in the past found the high expense of such services prohibitive.

While inaccurate or insufficient field testing data will directly impact the final determination of any nondestructive investigation, we consider it equally deficient to submit test results in a format which is poorly organized, inconclusive, difficult to understand, and therefore of little value. We have long recognized the interest from our clients for information which is accurate, clear, well presented, informative, and above all - used to their benefit. Therefore, a significant percentage of our time and effort relates to the presentation of our test data - the results of which is hopefully illustrated by the content of our Internet site.

East Coast Industries, Inc. will continue to provide the highest level of testing and reporting service available, as well as investigate new nondestructive diagnostic methods of benefit and interest to our clients.

Nondestructive Testing

East Coast Industries, Inc. offers a variety of proven predictive maintenance inspection services specifically designed to help identify HVAC related problems months, and even years before they occur. Infrared Scanning, Ultrasonic Testing, Vibration Analysis, Steam Trap Testing, or Corrosion Monitoring - ECI has made every effort to provide the highest quality of testing and standard of professional service.

This web site highlights six of our most frequently provided nondestructive testing services. Sample reports for each NDT program are provided, and very well explain the level of testing and reporting detail available. Client references are available at request.

The below listing represents our most frequently provided nondestructive testing services.

Rather than submitting just the basic field testing data, all results are thoroughly evaluated and presented in clear and informative color reports. Competitively priced, our primary goal has always been to offer building operating personnel the full benefit of information from each and every testing effort. Our primary goal is to confidently answer all questions originally raised.

HVAC Specialties

Our strong involvement and close working relationship with the HVAC building maintenance industry has drawn us into many specialized areas of interest. Ultrasonic pipe testing, and the many problems we have uncovered through hundreds of investigations, has prompted us to provide our clients with improved chemical compounds and mechanical methods for protecting metal surfaces from corrosion.

Similarly, our testing of water storage tanks has prompted us to locate and recommend new, more durable protective interior and exterior coatings. Overall, we offer information and sources for the following:

A detailed listing of our specialty products and services can be found under the main page heading of Specialty Products.

Technical Bulletins

Our regular attendance of HVAC related trade shows as well as subscriptions to various technical journals helps keep us well informed of the type of new products and services most engineers and building managers are unlikely to hear about otherwise. This has established East Coast Industries, Inc. as an excellent source of information on new products such as condenser tube coatings, automatic and side stream filtration, vapor corrosion inhibitors, or UV air stream sanitation, etc.

Whether based upon an individual request or a commonly identified engineering problem, ECI has produced a series of Technical Bulletins dedicated to specific building related topics and their solutions. Once only available to our existing clients, this collection of valuable information, ideas, references, and recommendations can be easily accessed from this web site.

A general introduction to the application and benefits of these and other hard to find products and services can be accessed under the main page heading of Technical Bulletins.
